Broker’s Assistant

FULL-TIME

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with marketing new and renewal business
  • Prepare renewal request information
  • Input policy information into a management system database
  • Handling ongoing servicing issues such as requesting policy information, checking policies for accuracy, enrollments, terminations, COBRA, preparing ID Cards and account summaries
  • Run reports and Assist with preparation for client meetings
  • Keep current on rates, forms, and coverage changes
  • Participate in seminars and classes for skill and knowledge development
  • Create and or configure custom employee communications, including employee summary of benefit forms, open enrollment guides, new hire guides and enrollment forms
  • Scan all documents, correspondence, policy forms, etc. into server and attach to appropriate client file
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Two (2) years’ experience in employee benefits agency or broker desired
  • CEBS designation
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of agency service operations
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge & proficiency with MS Word, Excel
  • OR: Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Experience with ADP, Kronos, Employee Navigator

Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to develop proactive working relationships with both internal and external clients
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal
  • Excellent organizational skills, including ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet rigorous deadlines
  • Ability to configure Electronic Benefit Plans
